Terms and Conditions
- Smoking - Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the iPlay
premises, including the front entrance.
- Foul Language - Foul language and unruly/abusive behaviour
is prohibited at all times at iPlay.
- Drugs - Drugs and other illegal substances must not be brought
or used on the iPlay premises.
- Alcohol - The consumption of alcohol by iPlay customers and/or
visitors is strictly prohibited at all times on iPlay premises.
- Personal Property - All personal property brought onto the
iPlay premises is done so completely at the owners own risk. iPlay accepts
no responsibility for loss or damage to the said property.
- Refusal of entry - iPlay reserves the right for staff to
refuse entry to any customer or visitors of customers. This is to include,
but not be limited to, individuals that the staff member believes, at
their sole discretion, is excessively under the influence of any intoxicating
substance.
- Soilage - Any customer or other visitor that soils the iPlay
premises will be personally liable for the cost of any cleaning and/or
replacement of property that is a result of their actions.
- Pornography - The viewing of pornography (or other objectionable
material) and/or the conduct of any illegal activity by any customer
or visitor is prohibited on any of the computers or in other areas at
iPlay.
- Damage - The mistreatment and/or destruction of any iPlay
property is prohibited and customers and/or visitors will be held personally
liable for any damage they cause.
- Software - Customers and visitors are prohibited from installing
any illegal or other software such as downloaders, key loggers, or games
cheats, except in cases where they have been given permission to do
so by iPlay Management.
- R16 Games - Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted
to play games rated R16 and will not be allowed in the restricted gaming
area unless using the bathrooms and/or visiting the Manager. Staff at
iPlay will require the customer to provide ID to prove their age if
they are in doubt.
- Late nights - Persons under the age of 16 will be refused
entry to iPlay between the hours of 11pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday. Staff
at iPlay will require the customer to provide ID to prove their age
if they are in doubt.
- Sleeping - No customer or visitor is allowed to sleep on
the iPlay premises and iPlay reserves the right to evict any person
that continues to do so after a warning.
- Rubbish - Customers and visitors must remove all their rubbish
from around the computer they have been using when they leave. Any person
that continues to leave a mess behind, after being warned, will be
liable for the cost of cleaning.
- Booking - The booking of a computer is at the sole
discretion of iPlay Management. Booking a computer is not
guaranteed. The booking of a computer at iPlay is provided for
the convenience of our members. Any member that turns up more than 15
minutes late for a booking, and has not called previously to explain,
will lose the computer. If a member fails to turn up for more than two
bookings without calling to let iPlay know, will forfeit the right to
make further bookings.
- Account details - Members must keep their login details confidential.
iPlay will not take any responsibility for time that is lost through
other people using the account. Time lost for any other reason will
only be replaced at the sole discretion of iPlay Management.
- Excessive Data Usage – iPlay will charge for excessive downloads
and or uploading.
The definition of excessive is at the sole discretion of iPlay Management.
- Excessive time – iPlay Management reserves the right to ask
customers to leave if they feel that they have been in the café for
excessive amounts of time.
- Copyrighted Material – Copyright law says that no one is
entitled to record or publicly play a song without the permission of
the person who owns the copyright to that song. The owner is usually
the record company that has purchased the rights to the song from
the artist. iPlay staff will not help any person who wants to
download/upload copyrighted material.
- Event Pass – From time to time iPlay may offer a Pass.
This pass is for game playing only. The pass will not include items
like printing, drinks, food, headphones or data usage. A pass does
not exclude any person from any of the iPlay Terms and Conditions.
iPlay reserves the right to ask
customers to leave. Event Passes are for iPlay members only and no
refunds will be issued.
- Sales Policy – Cheques: iPlay does not accept cheques,
for any sales, without prior management approval. An EFTPOS terminal
is provided for electronic cheque account transactions.
Credit Cards: Product purchases over $100 on credit cards must be
accompanied with Photo ID, unless the card PIN number is used. If
you are signing for the transaction you MUST supply an acceptable
form of Photo ID.
Cash: All denominations of NZ currency are accepted, in appropriate
amounts. Volumes of small change are not permissible for Large
purchases and vice versa.
- Refunds & Warranty Returns – All returns will be handled
by iPlay Management and between the hours of 9am and 5pm Monday
through Friday. Proof of purchase is required. Original packaging
and accessories must be returned. Postage costs may apply. Refunds
are at the discretion of iPlay Management. iPlay can not issue
immediate refunds on phone cards and cell phone prepay top-ups.
Phone card and prepaid card refunds are handled by the respective
phone calling company.
- Internet Access Gift Card - Only one card per
customer. Card for computer time only, can not be redeemed for cash
or any other product. Card will expire after 60 days from issue. No
refunds issued. Time must be placed onto a iPlay membership.
Membership is free.
If any of these rules are breached, the customer or visitor may be asked
to leave the premises and
could also be banned from iPlay. Should a customer be banned or asked
to leave, iPlay will be
under no obligation to refund any time/money lost. If the offence is of
a particularly serious
nature, iPlay will trespass the offender and may turn the matter over
to the New Zealand Police to
